Transformational Shifts

We facilitate transformational shifts between people and in communities; families, neighborhoods, schools, organizations, or religious/ spiritual spaces where there has been racialized harm and cultural conflict. We dissect whiteness and white culture and support a collective shift towards accountability, integrity and love.

Trainings & Workshops

Dissecting Whiteness offers interactive workshops and trainings for adults or youth. Topics include:

  • Racism & Mental Health

  • Whiteness in Urban education

  • Impacts of White Culture & White identity

  • Healing Whiteness

These are just a few titles of workshops offered, but Dissecting Whiteness can cater to the needs of the organization, school or group with themes of power, privilege, racism, restorative justice, restorative practices, cultural humility, etc.

Conflict/ Harm Circles

Trained in restorative justice circle practice, Dissecting Whiteness offers one time or a series of circles to process conflict or harm that has occurred, specifically due to cultural or racial challenges. Circles are either small (between 2-6 people) or larger community conflicts involving many people. Circes will have either one facilitator or multiple, depending on the numbers and needs of the group. Each circle includes:

  • Prep work: conversations/ interviews with all the people involved

  • Circle(s): Can take anywhere from 1.5 hours to all day and can either be just one or multiple, depending on the need

  • Follow up: Assessment and accountability check-in, depending on the needs of the situation

Affinity/ Caucus Group Facilitation

Caucuses offer space for people to do work within their own racial or ethnic group. For white people, this work focuses on understanding white culture, privilege and power in order to change harmful behaviors, deepen self love and belonging. Dissecting Whiteness facilitates short term or long term white/ European caucus

Coaching & Mentoring

Individual coaching/ mentoring; specifically for white people in organizations or work spaces that have direct impact with people and communities of color
