We are coming together as socially conscious folks to re-connect to and celebrate our purpose, rejuvenate our faith in humanity and each other and engage in practical mindfulness. Through music, creative expression, hands-on activities and guided interactive dialogue, we will leave inspired to continue in the service of a just and equitable society.

This is event is for solo-preneurs, social workers, mental health workers, spiritual leaders, healers, people who work in s.t.e.a.m., community activists, people who work in health care, educators and anyone else who cares about and works in the service of people. Kusum was one of the presenters with a talk on accountability, values, and facing into pain as a way to clean it and alchemize it into something else.

Ritual of Remembrance in 3 Parts: July 4th, 2019

On the 4th of July, 2019, we paid tribute to a legacy of resistance against the enslavement of African sin what is known as the U.S. on a “holiday” of “freedom.” William Lloyd Garrison, a white abolitionist, inspired by the resistance work of Black activists in 1827, used the 4th of July to publicly speak out against slavery, In 2019, we took this time to create new rituals to face into the traumas of white supremacy, to disrupt the legacies of amnesia, to align with generations of change makers and to contribute to forward visions of a healed existence, collective power, racial justice and love. We held three open and public ceremonies for white people to be in community and healing space.

At the Sunrise ceremony, we focused on 1219-1619, the 400 years previous to American chattel slavery where Europeans colonized each other. We named this “The Root”.

The Mid-day ceremony focused on the last 400 years (1619-2019) to publicly recognize our ancestral responsibility for the development of white supremacy and the harm it has caused. This was “The Trunk”

The Sunset ceremony was for the future 400 years (2019-2419) to vision forward into the world we are co-creating and building where true transformation and justice can thrive. “The New Growth”
